If you have received funding from one application cycle (winter or summer), you are NOT permitted to apply for the following cycle. You must wait one year after receiving funding to apply again. Please e-mail spreadinggood@newleader.com with questions.

Applications for the Winter 2026 cycle will be open January 12th through February 12th.

Program is only open to organizations, registered non-profit organizations, religious organizations, schools, individuals, or families head-quartered in or legal residents of the following Iowa counties: Benton, Black Hawk, Bremer, Buchanan, Cedar, Iowa, Jefferson, Johnson, Jones, Linn, Washington. Individuals, or the head of the family’s household in the case of a family Entry, must be at least 18 years of age at the time of entry. Employees, officers, agents, and directors of Sponsor, and members of their families are not eligible to enter or participate.
