Our History

Roy Gaddis founds Highway Equipment Company, laying the groundwork for what would become New Leader Manufacturing.
The Model P, a simple hopper with a hand-operated spinner, becomes the company’s first Hi-Way product.
An early snowmobile-style machine is developed to pull sleighs carrying people and supplies, earning its place as the “New Leader.”

Cliff Jordan purchases the company from Roy Gaddis, marking a new chapter for the business.
New Leader Manufacturing partners with Ag-Chem, now part of AGCO, to support agricultural application equipment.

William T. Rissi and Columbus “Cal” Basile purchase the company from Cliff Jordan.

New Leader Manufacturing partners with Case IH, a well-known name in agricultural equipment systems.

The NL5000 G5 is released with 16-section swath width control for more efficient, precise application.

New Leader Manufacturing opens its first international facility, New Leader Comércio de Equipamentos Agrícolas e Serviços Limitada, in Assis, São Paulo, Brazil.
