August Donation Recipients Announced
Cedar Rapids, Iowa ⎯ In June 2019, New Leader Manufacturing (NLM) announced the launch of its new local giving program, 380. Designed to give back to the Cedar Rapids area, 380 is an extension of the company’s Spread Good program to make a positive impact through local communities and across the globe.
For the August 2019 donation period, NLM is pleased to announce that local donations have been awarded to the following meaningful projects:
Linn County Crime Stoppers
Shelter House
Cedar Rapids Community Schools Foundation
Rocki Shepard, President and CEO commented, “New Leader is extremely proud to be able to support these amazing initiatives. We have streamlined this year’s giving through 380’s submission process, which has allowed us to develop deeper partnerships with our local communities as we learn the impact they are working to achieve. We are humbled, as each application is carefully reviewed by team members across our organization, to see all the great works that are taking place here. We look forward to hearing more from each of these organizations and how they make a sustainable difference across the I-380 region. We are grateful to everyone who applied, and we look forward to announcing more recipients in September.”
Donation applications were accepted in celebration of NLM’s 80th anniversary. This program is designed to donate more than $80,000 in 2019 to local initiatives. Additional recipients will be announced at the beginning of each month through December. This program will be extended into following years, with a new application period that will open in 2020.
